Maria is the Hereditary Princess of Mëcklemburg-Wladir, thus being also head of Government as Regent-Chancellor of the country. She is also the the Head of State of the Grand Duchy of Hochenberg in Karnia-Ruthenia. She was first female Head of State of the Conference of Santiago and served as the first woman to be its Secretary-General, an advocate for LGBTQIA+ movement among Brazilian micronationalists and one of the founders of the Brazilian sector, and a strong supporter of the derivatist micronationalism. She was the former Queen of Sildavia and Borduria until her abdcation in 17 April 2024.

On 10 July 2024 she installed her mother as Duchess of Mëcklemburg-Wladir, thus becaming heir to the throne of the same country. As the country rules dictates, the heir of the country is also head of goverment, with the position of Regent-Chancellor.
